We will be celebrating the sixth International Day of Yog (IDY) on 21st June 2020. Due to the contagious nature of COVID-19, it is advisable to do Yog at Home. On this occasion, UP Tourism and Mindshare has jointly organised Yog Mahotsava 2020. Several contests and online events will be held from June 21 to July 21, 2020. More than 30 events and 10 contests will be held in the month long Mahotsava.

YOG VIDEO CONTEST
Make a 3 minute video on Yoga: An intangible cultural heritage. The participants can made a video of the Yogic practices or give a short video message on how the Yogic practices have influenced their lives. The contest aims to develop the participants as Yoga Mitr and the savior of cultural heritage of the nation. The best videos will be awarded with exciting prizes.
WRITE ON YOG CONTEST
Write an article or research paper on ‘Yoga and Eco-spiritual Tourism in India’. Submit it for review. Students as well as teachers of higher educational institutions can participate in this contest. The best articles and papers will be published as book and awarded with exciting prizes. Articles and research papers should be original.
YOG ART AND POSTER CONTEST
Make a poster or painting on ‘Yoga and Eco-spiritual Tourism’ and submit it online. You can also try your hands on photography and submit it the Photograph for this contest. The most creative submission will be awarded with exciting prizes. The selected works will be posted on the portal for public view.
YOG TOURISM CONTEST
Yoga tourism is a journey of self with trans-formative capacities on physical, psychological, spiritual, and social awareness. Due to lockdown we are confined to our homes but still we can virtually do Yoga at the place we like most. For this contest, participants have to do Yoga at home and take your picture or video. Then edit its background to fit the place or tourist destination you like most. The edited picture should depict as if you are doing Yoga at your most favourite destination. Show your creativity to win exciting prizes.

If you have a passion for singing, make a video of your song and send us your video. The song should not be more than five minutes. However, the songs of longer duration are also acceptable with due justification. Both students and teachers can participate in this contest. The best singer will be awarded. Do not submit audio file, only video of song will be accepted.

Shoot a video of your dance and submit it for the contest. The video must not be more than 5 minutes. However, the dances of longer duration are also acceptable with due justification. India is such a culturally diverse country that in each state, city, district and village there are beautiful stories to share; ones that are unique to that area. The most powerful way to share these stories is via the people of the region. That is precisely why it is essential to change gears from Incredible India to Incredible Indians. Make a video of your speech on “From incredible India to incredible Indians”. The video must not be more than 5 minutes.Both students and teachers can participate in this contest.
